Marketing 101 course
High level training in marketing to allow individuals and organisations to feel more confident and able in their marketing and communications.
Course structure
The course consists of eight modules that track the process of marketing planning from start to end. The modules are:
Market Orientation
Segmentation
Targeting & Positioning
Branding
Understanding the funnel
Using the funnel to generate objectives
Tactics
Preview of intro presentation
How it works
The course is designed to be self-led, so you can choose how quickly you progress from one module to the next. However, I would recommend you complete one module per week to keep it fresh in your mind as the knowledge accumulates from module to module.
Each module consists of the same items:
A short introduction slide
The main presentation
A mini task to help you explore and solidify some of the ideas in the module
A list of additional materials should you wish to learn more
The course culminates in an optional exam to help you solidify the knowledge. Anyone that completes the quiz with at least an 80% pass rate will receive a certificate of completion.
